NDHL / TRI-COUNTY ANNOUNCE INTERLOCK FOR UPCOMING 2025/2026    SEASON FOR "A" CATEGORY

                                                     NDHL_LOGO_-_2-PNG.png

The Niagara District Hockey League (NDHL) would like to announce, NEW for the 2025 / 2026 season, a partnership has been created with the Tri-County Hockey League with the support of the OMHA.

ALL "A" category teams will be introduced to cross over games to be played with teams in the Tri County League.

This will help ease the impact of playing the same teams consistently AND will also promote stronger team/league play and competition.

Every "A" team at each age group will play one game against each team in the opposite league. The schedule between the leagues will be fully balanced as all games will count in the NDHL and Tri-County standings.

This partnership will provide a variety of competition for all players and will reduce the number of repeat games of in-league play.

The NDHL A teams will play in NDHL playoffs on their road to the OMHA Championships and Tri-County teams will continue their path to OMHA Championships within Tri-County.

This is a one-year agreement that will be reviewed by OMHA representatives and both leagues in early 2026.

Both leagues are excited about this expanded playing opportunity for all players in Tri-County and the NDHL.  Thank you to both League Executives for their efforts in making this change possible.

Good luck to all teams involved and we hope you have a great season!

   Steve Secord NDHL President
   Glen Davis Tri-County President
   Paul Allan OMHA Vice President
   Mark Hooper OMHA Vice President
